Connect to Your Student on the Morgan State Family Experience
Gain insight into one of your biggest investments: Your student.
Connecting to your student in our parent portal has shown to improve undergraduate retention and persistence. All you have to do is...
- Navigate to the "graduation cap" icon in the top right-hand corner of The Morgan State Family Experience
- Click "Go to my connections"
- Enter your student's email address and your relationship to your student
- Toggle the academic and financial permissions you'd like to have access to
- Your student will receive an email indicating your request to connect within The Morgan State Family Experience - now we wait...
- Once your student accepts your connection request, voila, you'll now receive alerts for updates including but not limited to:
- financial aid requirements
- new tuition bills
- academic holds
- final grade updates
- GPA changes
- and much more!
Essentially, you select the information to request, your student decides what to share, and The Morgan State Family Experience handles the rest.
Stay up-to-date with your student's academic progress and financial details, and get notified any time their information changes!
Morgan State University must adhere to FERPA, the Family Educational Rights Privacy Act, and by law cannot share information about your student’s records with third parties without the student’s consent.
Please note that students can revoke these privileges at any time and that we expect students to directly communicate their business and academic needs with university offices and faculty.
Please also note that this FERPA waiver is strictly for the purpose of your student sharing information with you through Campus ESP, your student will still need to file a hard copy FERPA waiver with the Registrar's Office in order for the University to share information with you should you call or visit the University.
We know that parents and family are deeply engaged with their students’ education and we hope that by sharing academic progress, parents and family can support their students in achieving greater academic success.
